This small coastal city ranked #2 on the list for the best South Florida Town as voted upon by WPBF’s Viewers. (Delray Beach came in #1 – There is always next year, Jupiter!). So, what makes this quaint seaside town such a popular area for the locals? Because there is so much to do!

Loggerhead Marine Life Center

Have you ever seen a loggerhead turtle up close and personal? It’s truly a majestic experience and, at the Loggerhead Marine Life Center, there are variety of loggerhead turtles on display. Most of the turtles are being rehabilitated and then released, so there are new turtles added frequently and they range in age from hatch-lings to full grown adults. While visiting the center, you can also take a stroll through the aquariums, gift shop, and peek into the hospital where they do all the magic. This is a great place to bring the kids and a fun place to learn about marine life. As an added bonus, the facility is located along the beach. So, simply walk across to finish the day under the sun. Maybe you’ll see a loggerhead turtle in it’s natural environment or, if you’re lucky, you’ll come across a hatching sea turtle nest!

Fish, view, or relax at the Jupiter Inlet. Many locals come here to watch the big sports fishing boats head out in to the Atlantic to their deep sea adventure. Either way, the Jupiter Inlet is the perfect place to enjoy all of what Florida is about – boats, sun, and fishing! As an added bonus, across the intracoastal from standing at the inlet, you’ll see Jupiter Inlet Colony. This residential neighborhood is home to Kid Rock and is also where Olivia Newton-John just listed her home!

This is listed after Jupiter Inlet because it’s right next door! This lagoon style beach area is an awesome place to bring the little ones. There are no wakes and the water is crystal clear.
